Open Letter To Members

Members

We've had inquiries about the Club providing opportunities for members
and others to register more ATA targets. At present we are looking at an
ATA shoot schedule similar to last year, with one-day shoots in February
and March, a two-day shoot in June, and four-day shoots in July (the
Western Zone) and August (the Gun Shoot). Our shoot dates must be
requested through the ISTA Secretary, and approved by the ISTA and ATA.
Such approval is usually pro forma, and additional dates can be
requested at any time. In order to register targets on any approved
date, there must be at least three shooters in an event.

One option we are considering is to request additional dates for
registered shoots at times the Club is already scheduled to be open,
such as Sundays year around or Wednesdays during the summer. During
those dates, if there are at least three shooters willing to register
targets in an event, we could do it. These would be targets only, no
options or trophies. The cost would be $14 per hundred for the targets,
plus $1 per hundred for the ISTA target fee, and $1 per day for the ATA
daily fee. Because of issues with squadding and earned yardage, we would
prefer to register singles and/or doubles only, but handicap could be a
possibility given sufficient interest. All ATA rules would apply,
including the rule that only shooters registering targets can shoot on
the squad (i.e. a buddy not interested in registering his targets cannot
shoot along with you).

If you would be interested in the Club doing this, please let Randy or
Larry know as soon as possible.
