Happy New Year Shooters:

I hope that this finds all of you well and ready for another great year of shooting.  We have a lot of things coming up so be sure to mark your calendars.

January 26th is our next Fun Shoot.  Come out and join us for a great day.  Remember with the purchase of a guarantee card if you don’t win something in five tries the club will give you a prize.  On February 9th we will have our first ATA shoot of the year.  We have added 50 pair of doubles for all of you double shooters.  February 17th Marathon Singles and Doubles will be available.  $15.00 per 100 targets, plus applicable state and ATA fees.  No trophies and no monies.  Three people per event are needed to register these targets.  February 23 is the next  fun shoot.  March 8th will be the second ATA shoot.  March 15th will be the Easter Fun Shoot.  April 23rd the club opens on Wednesdays and league will start.  We will probably run league the same way as last year unless someone has any other thoughts or ideas.  Any suggestions for league prizes is appreciated too.  June 21 and 22 will be the next ATA shoot with July 17-20 the Western Zone Shoot and the Gun Shoot August 14-17th.

SRTA starts January 27th.  The rules have changed this year.  The weekly scores will consist of one 19-21 yd score, 1 22-24yd score, 1 25-27 yd score and 1 rookie score (20yd male rookie, 18 for ladies and Juniors)  NO cold barrel rule.  You must declare your round before it is shot.  No shooting ahead.  You can shoot back, but no more than 2 scores per week.  You will still need 4 league scores to qualify for the annual SRTA Shoot.  The Rookie winners must attend and shoot one event to collect their rookie winner bags at the annual shoot.  If we do not have someone to shoot yardage needed we can shoot back to yardage needed, but you cannot shoot closer.  This must be declared before the round is shot.  We will be giving out bags for the high winner in each yardage group.

March 9th will be our general membership meeting. This meeting will start at 10:00am.    Please be sure to attend this as we have six Directors whose positions are up this year.  Dee Cahoon, Carl Smith, Larry Ford, John Clark, Roland Ruby, Leisa Bunce.  Remember it is you the members who elect the Directors who are in charge of the club.  Your vote counts!  Don’t forget you must have current membership dues paid to be able to vote.

SCTP is beginning.  The first practice will be January 26th prior to the Fun Shoot.  If you are a junior shooter and are interested in joining, the sign up sheet is at the front counter.  For more information please contact Troy Crawford 208 237 8262 home and 208 244 1403 is cell.

We are thinking about having a general spring clean up the end of April or first of May so stay tuned for more information on that.

I and the rest of the Board of Directors want to thank you for your support.  We hope to see all of you out there in the coming months and remember…..The Wind is your Friend.

Sincerely,

Randy Adams, President
