Welcome to the Youth Trap Shooting program at the Pocatello Trap Club! The Youth program is registered as “Pocatello Claybusters” with the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF). Safety and Teaching are the first and foremost concern of the coaching staff and volunteers. To learn more about the SCTP goto www.nssf.org/sctp.

Safety is the number one concern of everyone. The rules of firearm safety will be taught, and continually repeated, and enforced. Under no circumstances will unsafe conduct with a firearm be allowed. Participants engaging in any acts determined unsafe will be asked to sit-out the practice, or asked to leave the premises. The Coaches and/or Pocatello Trap Club Personnel will make this determination if it should arise.

The Trapshooting program is designed to incorporate two indispensable elements- SAFETY AND FUN. Team practices and competitive shoots include the element of FUN for all participants. The participants will learn safe and responsible handling and use of firearms. They will discover the joy of contributing to a shared team goal and the commitment that goes along with it.
